In 1969 newly licensed real estate agent Nancy Chandler (B.A.-William and Mary, former math teacher, wife, mother of four, volunteer in community/civic/cultural/church affairs) discovered that she loved the real estate profession. She quickly became an award-winning agent. To her clients she gave empathy and understanding as well as her integrity and professional expertise.
However, it was her dream to open a small “group practice” with herself and just a few agents personally trained by Nancy in the inimitable “Nancy Chandler Style” – sophisticated agents with a solid core of knowledge and the informational know-how to craft a marketing plan with a really great strategy. |

In 1974, Nancy Chandler opened as a small family-owned Real Estate firm with an one-of-a-kind philosophy based on honesty, professional expertise and superb client care. In their first year the Associates sold $1.5 million worth of property. With a vision for the future they developed and focused on a motto, “We Get People & Places Together.”
The philosophy of the company finds its roots in the dream of Chairman, Nancy Chandler. This philosophy continues under the genuine leadership of its President and Chief Executive Officer, Web Chandler, III, who challenges and inspires the Associates and carried the firm to a 2008 sales volume ranking among the largest in Southeastern Virginia.
In 1985, the company restored and moved into the historic Ghent area of Norfolk. A new building was built for the Chesapeake Office. A Property Management department was developed to offer broader service to our clients. A Relocation Division and New Homes program were expanded and are directed by Lisa F. Chandler, Executive Vice-President. In 2005, Capt John M. Chandler, USN R joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer.
Today, Nancy Chandler Associates is represented by award-winning, caring and dedicated brokers and agents assisting our clients and customers in the well-known “Nancy Chandler Style.” We treasure our reputation for fair and timely negotiations and outstanding marketing expertise. Focused on our sellers, buyers, and builders, we have grown into the successful business we are today through positive representation and a strong commitment to our profession and our region.
