My name is Jo Ridout Harris. I understand that moving can be one of life's most challenging adventures. A Tidewater native, I have a great love for this area and the people who make up its communities. Of course, being a resident of Hampton Roads also means having friends around the world who are members of the U.S. Military. I currently live in the Larchmont section of Norfolk with my husband and son.
After graduating from Cox High School in Virginia Beach, I obtained an Associate's degree from Peace College in Raleigh, North Carolina followed by a Bachelor's degree from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Following graduation, I was employed with the Virginia Opera in Norfolk working in theater production. I then worked in bookkeeping and accounting with the Ridout Company in Virginia Beach for fifteen years.
I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and finding families for homeless pets as both a volunteer and board member of the Norfolk SPCA.
